How it works?

  1. Step #1 - We start at 12:00 PM and finish at 2:00 PM
    At Thursday, 05 Dec 2024 12:00 PM you will be able to join into this speaking event, where you can practice your second language with other learners from all over the world.
  2. Step #2 - You watch a video (discussion topic)
    During each session, we will share a video as a discussion topic, and your speaking partner will ask you questions about the topic (or vice versa).
  3. Step #3 - We give general recommendations and tips
    We will give you some general recommendations and tips to improve your speaking skills. Also some community guidelines to make sure that all participants are committed to learning
  4. Step #4 - Software will start matching you with a partner (automatically)
    Software will start matching and assigning you a speaking partner. You don't have to search for anyone, or send invitations, or schedule anyone, or look at related profiles. We all join at the same time.
  5. Step #5 - You start your first session with a partner
    You will speak in English for a total of 2 hours, and you will speak for 20 minutes with each partner. You're now in the video-call. Each session has a timer, so you know how much time you have left with each partner.
  6. Step #6 - We repeat step #5 with other partners
    After the first 20 minutes, we will assign you a new partner and you will repeat the process until the end of the event.
  7. Step #7 - We finish and ask for feedback
    At the end of the event, we will ask you to rate the video-call. We want to make sure that all participants are committed to learning and not using the platform for other purposes. This is a requirement that allows us to keep a healthy community.
